xemacs code.

• General:
  
  1. Download and unzip, and possibly untar, the directory. Put it anywhere you like.
     
  2. Put a line in your XEmacs init file, quite probably .emacs in your home directory, a line like this: (load "/xemacs21-gsl/load-selected-files")
  3. Load any files from xemacs21-gsl/preferences/ that you like. If you create a file called .xemacs-personalizations in your home directory load-selected-files will load it for you. There is a sample of such a file in xemacs21-gsl/preferences/
• On a PC:
  If you want to use a TAGS table for Java using the provided batch files you will have to download Cygwin. Download it all. It will install a file called etags.exe in C:\WINDOWS\system32. Get rid of this and use the one from XEmacs. Also make sure that you aren't running Cygwin's emacs, but the XEmacs you downloaded as XEmacs.

  Although I've included batch files I use, you will need to modify them according to where you have XEmacs, gjdb, javacc, etc on your disk(s).
