The Whistling Wizard

My family watched The Whistling Wizard on our black and white T.V. set in the East San Francisco Bay Area in 1951, when I was 3 or 4 years old. I remember most of the song and the Little Golden Book turned up a little while ago, so I thought I'd share it with others who enjoyed the show but maybe don't remember much anymore either.

The Theme Song:

Verse 1 Verse 2 Verse 3
Come and have some fun.
Come and join the Whistling Wizard.
He takes everyone
To the land of make believe.

With his magic flute
He can whistle up a blizzard.
When you hear him toot
All the troubles hide away.
J.P.: He tells corny jokes
Which he thinks are very funny,
  But I like it, folks,
When old Heathcliff's here with me.

Heathcliff: He's got great big ears
  And his disposition's sunny.
  I'll go through the years
  With my little pal J.P.
Spider Lady: When I cast my spell
Then you know there's trouble brewing,
  And that all's not well,
  For my magic reaches far.

Kohlrabi: (?? If you know this line email me: glystad at centurytel dot net, subject: Kohlrabi.)
  Like a moo-cow I am mooing.
  Like a bull I'm strong
When I'm playing my queen's hand.
