We went down an alley to a deserted section of old Luoyang. The people who used to live here have moved to new apartments. Since there is no private ownership of land by the Chinese people, nobody has any interest in fixing up this area, other than the owner, the government. Eventually something will be done with it but for now it sits abandoned.
