In order to see the pictures from the Martian rovers Spirit and Opportunity in 3 Dimensions, cross your eyes till the images overlap. It may help to bring your finger toward your nose and look at it to control the amount your eyes cross. When the right side image seen with the left eye, and the left side image seen with the right eye, are nearly aligned your brain will snap them together if your head is straight up so your eyes are level. It may help to consentrate on one object in the pictures such as a particular rock. Your head should be 3 to 5 feet from the screen. The farther back you are the less your eyes need to cross.
You will see three images altogether from the two on the screen and the middle one will be 3D. It takes a little practice at first, maybe 30 to 45 minutes, but the effect is well worth the effort on many of these pictures, particularly on pages D and E. After you have done it once, it becomes much easier. After a few dozen times you'll wonder why it was ever so hard to begin with.
When you have the technique down look for other stereo picture pairs on the web. There are lots.
