We took a very long walk to Falconlust (falcon enjoyment), a hunting lodge on a grand scale, that Clement August used. He loved falconry. Falconlust was well located for hunting herons that nested in the woods behind Falconlust and flew over marshy open land on their wat to the Rhine several kilometers infront of Falconlust. We saw this interesting plant in the woods.

Either we didn't take any pictures of Falconlust or the camera malfunctioned. We've been having trouble with it since my trip in January but didn't realize it was the camera that was at fault. We did get this hay field about half way back from FalconLust.

There are formal gardens to the side of Schloss Augustusburg, which can be seen in the distance. Linda liked the Swans.

This is a view across the Aggertal, the Agger River valley, taken from the balcony behind Sharon's and Rainer's house. Beautiful, isn't it!

Our last full day in Germany we packed and then took a walk more or less west of Loope past a moated palace that is now a home for royal spinsters, and along a lake. These are some of the sights along the walk.

The home for royal spinsters on the right, and a train on the left, can be seen in the background across a lake that was as far as we went on our walk.
